Absolute beginner

Hello all

So I have been looking and looking for a while at getting into RC tanks. I love the idea of improving and developing models over time and Long term I want to create an RC Bridgelayer but I know that is a long way off.
My day job is military simulation/tactics and a bit of 3D design

Via the magical eBay I have now got myself not one but two tanks both Heng long
Tiger 1 and a Bulldog. Both need a bit of work but that’s why I brought them.

I am currently adopting the approach of sponge , avid reader of posts and forum browser. Not burning questions just yet but I can already see this is a good place to post and get good help if needed.

Over the next few days I aim to sort my profile out etc

Be gentle with me on the RC tank front but I am an ex squaddie so I have a thick skin.

A HL Tiger 1 and then a HL Bulldog is how I started this hobby with my grandson
I think it was this very forum (long before I was a member) where I read that the Bulldog was a good runner.

I'm sure you'll find all the answers you seek, but if not, I'm sure someone will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Welcome to the wonderful world of RC tanks - be careful as it can be like entering a wormhole, especially with German WWII armour as you always run the risk of running foul of the rivet-counters

I'm in Sittingbourne (not a native of Kent but made it my home!) . What era Military simulation do you do? Former Bootnevk here so stand by for banter
