Hello from Surrey
Hello!,
my name is Simon and im new here (surprise surprise!)
i am in to RC cars (mainly crawlers) and am currently setting up an off road area at a scout campsite i manage in Surrey...
as part of that interest (and a military vehicle interest) i bought myself an HG-P801 from Banggood (its a 1/12th scale Hemmt)
that led me wanting something to go on the back of it.. i couldn't find a 1/12th scale tank that would fit, so ended up buying a 1/16th Tamiya M4 Sherman that someone had built and painted, just needed some RC gear installed... which ive now done.
ive now got a bit of a bug and want more!

Hello neighbour, and welcome to the forum Simon
Sounds like you are already hooked, one can never stop at just one tank
May I ask what town in Surrey you're talking about re the scout camp site?
Enjoy the forum.
Mick.

I'm in Sutton, not far away.
Is the place you're talking about just off the A3 with a dodgy entrance?

Ah, ok. I used to take a lot of camping gear etc to one there, well, I think it was there lol. My daughter used to help organise a guide camp in that area, at a scout site off the A3.simonclarke2000 wrote:close to that one... other end of CobhamSon of a gun-ner wrote:I'm in Sutton, not far away.

Well, I'm not from Surrey, nor anywhere near it, but a warm welcome nonetheless!. Yes, this hobby certainly has an addictive element to it- one for which the NHS has no viable treatment.
Having acquired the Sherman, have you an inkling where the bug will direct you next, and to what model?

Re: Hello from Surrey
Good question! The shop I got this one from has a few others, I like the fact these are all ready built and painted ready to go, however I would be quite keen to start my own build project, however I’m not very good at painting and such! I could quite happily build, but it would look like one of my toddlers had painted it!43rdRecceReg wrote: Well, I'm not from Surrey, nor anywhere near it, but a warm welcome nonetheless!.
