Hello fellow Tankers from across the Pond

Post by jasnewlyn »

Recently discovered the Hobby of owning 1/16 scale RC tank. I am entry level Tanker using Heng Long T-34 (Luv it).

I have replaced gear box so have opened hull and seen the electro-mechanical guts of now favorite toy.

I have added micro FPV camera powered by LIPO to Tank turret and can navigate using camera only.

What I am trying to do is figure out how to power same camera from existing Tank battery or multi-function board.

The current camera is 25 mw but looking to upgrade to 200 mw if possible.

Eventually I would like to duel other RC Tanks.

Welcome to the Board! You will find thus to be a great board. I can't help you with your question, as I have no knowledge of that. Someone else will have that information for you. Just you wait and see. I am happy that you are enjoying your T-34

Welcome!

You just need a 5v feed for the FPV, either search one out with your multimeter or get a 5v step-down doohicky and power straight from the LiPo.

The T34 is a nice starting tank, runs quite well

Enjoy the forum, hopefully you'll get the answers you seek. It may be beneficial to post your question in "electronics/extras" - "other electronics"
