Greetings from Camberley! NEED ADVICE
Hi there, I recently bought a taigen tiger 1 early version from a car boot sale for £50 and I've really enjoyed it but it's given me the RC tank bug! I want to buy another one already! I was looking at buying a torro rtr Sherman but have been tempted by Tamiya Sherman kit(even though the barrel doesn't recoil) but I can't decide. I don't want to start an argument about brands, just some friendly advice for this noob from more experienced tankers.
(Note I am an avid model build mainly 1/72 scale)

The Tamiya Sherman is a very good and solid runner - HVSS suspension and 105mm turret.
You can get recoil in a Tamiya Sherman but you need to buy the M51 kit.
The Taigen is a good runner from what I’ve heard - VVSS suspension and either a 75mm or 76mm turret is available.
Are you looking for a ready made Sherman with upgrades? My winter Sherman is for sale and has an elmod and recoil etc

Yeah I do prefer the HVSS suspension, haven't found any other brand that does that. Apart from hooben...
Yeah could I see a pic?

Managed to find it, I love the detail!
Re: Greetings from Camberley! NEED ADVICE
I’d avoid the Hooben M4A3E8 - it’s not much improved from the very first Tamiya Sherman’s that arrives in 1974 with the push for wheels

Yeah not heard great things about it.
Is the tamiya sherman/super sherman easy to build? I have zero experience with a soldering iron, not sure if there is a lot of that to do?

No soldering to do - it’s easy to build.
If you want one I can put you in touch with axels in Germany as it’s on special offer currently.
