The KT is a good choice, but you said that you wanted 'a massive gun, and an enclosed body', in essence. You might then consider one of these Taigen (Torro) Sturmtigers:

The gun is stumpy, but certainly fits the massive bill.. :D The tiger 1 hull it's based on has a fair amount of real estate inside, and many potential upgrades. With a budget plastic Tiger 1 upper hull, you could even alternate between the Tiger 1 and the Sturmtiger for a spot of diversity..
Many members have the Tiger, partly because of the wealth of bits available for it, but also because it's fairly easy to work on...keeping the expletives to a minimum, and the drinks cabinet closed. :D

Thanks for the additional info, many choices out there.

Does anyone on here do larger scale stuff on here or is it mainly 1:16 scale?

My trains are 1:19 scale so it would be nice to work on something a bit larger.

Some have gone down the 1:6 track, but still retain a link with 1:16 :) A notable recent convert to 1:6 tanking is Gary (Max-U52), with his mechanical marvel, the Hetzer. Here's the thread associated with it. It's a long read :D

Other members are lucky enough to own 1:6 tanks from Armortek ( ;D ), and from other brands. These models represent the pinnacle of the hobby, to some extent, and the threat of bankruptcy :lolno:
