Hi from San Diego
Greetings,
I am a 24 y/o robotics engineer from San Diego. It seems not many of you are located in the United States? I got into RC tanks with some 1/24 scale VStanks and more recently 1/16 scale Heng Long tanks. My intrest in RC tanks first started after playing the video game World of Tanks and thinking it would be cool to drive physical tanks in real life .
The Airsoft element of RC tanks really appeal to me as well, and utilizing my skills as a robotics engineer, I have some ongoing projects to convert my tanks into "battlefield robots" utilizing (at the moment) FPV drone equipment, 3D printed parts and custom PCB electronics.
My goal is to make my upgrades (and eventually full tanks) available to others (you all) so I will be hopefully becoming a vendor at some point in the near future! But for now I am hoping to get connected with other people interested in RC tanks, learn you are doing with your tanks, share the knowledge I have acquired so far, and find new ways I can help make RC tanks more fun!
Hope you are all doing well,
-James

And another. Like the sound of your ideas James - having a robot to fight against would make life far more interesting than driving around the garden on your own.
