new tanker from Germany

Post by Karl_Diesel »

Hello everyone,

my name is Karl, I am located in southern Germany. I am 58 years old.

I started building RC tanks in 2005 . My favourite topics (all in 1/16) are IDF, US Army and NATO; and also some Russian stuff is very interesting (f.ex. the BMPT Terminator).
Until now, I have finished the following projects :

- M41A3 (HengLong+scale-upgrade)
- SPz Marder (scratch)
- M551 Sheridan (scratch-kit)
- Tiran 5 (based on Hooben T-55)
- M47 (converted from a Tamiya Pershing)
Just have a look at my website to view the pictures.

Of course, there are more projects in work : BTR-80, Magach 6B and Japanese Type 74.

I'm looking forward to a nice communication here. I hope my English is good enough ....

regards from Germany
the Karl

Hey Karl!

Recieved the resin crew you sent today, they make surprisingly good British tankers!

Good morning, Karl,
A Belated Welcome to the Forum. We certainly appreciate the pics of your excellent armor conversions. The Patton and the Sheridan are particularly amazing! I would like to press you for more pictures of the area where you are running those vehicles. The whole layout is something that seems to blend great scenery for the tanks as well as human sized access to follow along, retrieve for maint., etc. This is hard to pull out with outdoor running areas due to the weather and cold climate impacts. So following along for ideas.
regards,
Painless Wolf

Hello,

and thanks for the welcome !

We have a lot of battlefields for 1/16 tanks here in Germany and many meetings/events to ride the tanks there. Some guys travel up to 600 km to take part in the events. The battlefields are on private ground or club-owned.

Battlefield Sigmaringen; 250 km away from my home

Battlefield Röthenbach, 100 km away

have a nice weekend

Hi Karl big fan of your collection of armour and the battlefield and town setup. I agree with Mr Painless I'd like to see how you setup the Sheridan and other pieces. Maybe "show them off" individually and let us see them up close!

Greetings from the United States

Carl
Tanks alot....
