Well what does one say about ones self hmmmm. My name is Norman and live in Wexford Ireland and I've been doing models for many years loved building 1/35 scale but with my eyes going blinky I started on bigger scales 1/6 infact have about 8 then 1/18 came along so i went mad on that scale in both tanks and planes with a total of about 40 models. Then I found 1/16 scale static and rc and I love them I've got 19 rc and 10 static lol do I need help think so but I've not found an AA for mad modelers and hopefully I never will. Some of my HG older models don't run because I lost the remote controllers for them. What id love to do is find more rc modelers here in Ireland to get some sort of club going to enjoy the models and share hints and tips on how to improve models and spread the word to people about the hobby. I will post pic's of the models later when my kids show me how to do it.

Good Grief!!................what I'd like is for you to move in next to me so we can get on it & share the hobby, but the freight bill to send your stuff would be a killer ;)
Welcome along Sir, I get the kid thing showing how to do stuff, I did it for my Dad, they do it for me, so on & so on......

Hello Norman,

Welcome to the Forum. Great bunch of talented members with a huge array of specialties here. Have a look around and would love to see the pictures of your collection when you have the time. Sounds like you have the "bug" pretty bad. You'll fit right in here!

Cheers,
Eric.

Welcome, Norman
There's no RC tank presence in the Highlands, either- save for my own fleet. :| Still, there's a lot to enjoy in the hobby that doesn't involve IR battling, eh? :)
Where on earth do you house your vast collection? (photos ,please!). Either you have a very large house, or it's necessary to be a talented contortionist to navigate around it. :D
Tiny Tim? Smacks of 'Tiptoe through the Tulips', or Scrooge and a Christmas Carol.

8O :) :D

A familiar story, Norman, although your 'habit' is certainly at the extreme end of this acquisitive 'dysfunction'. I'm a Scots celt ( and I've been called worse!), but my Dad's family hailed from Ballyneale in Tipperary- not a million miles from Wexford, as it happens. I've always wondered why Celts seem to have an addictive gene, one that goes well beyond the Bottle and the Blarney. :haha:
Anyway, Here's to your amazing spouse! Sounds like the perfect partner. Do get the wain to post your pics when she's around!

WOW!

Your Wife is a keeper for allowing you to amass such a collection! And she occasionally buys you something!? I showed my Wife your posts and all she said was: NO! :'( So much for that! You really should open a museum and charge admission!

Cheers,
Eric.
