More research, perhaps, Ralph. The Challenger hull can be reinforced with this metal part, for example..

The more you look, the more bits you'll find. Is there a reason why you've discounted the Panzer IV, by the way, or is this really a list of your favourites, in order of preference?

Cool that's interesting! It also makes me think that making my own metal reinforcement for a plastic hull might also be a reasonable way to go.

The list is not in any order, but those are my top 4 favourites currently. I'm not strictly opposed to a PzIV but I just much prefer the shorter wheelbase & squat nature of the PzIII. I think that aesthetics are quite important to me so my heart just says III > IV! ;)
