SLU is like ElMod so replaces the rx18. plus SLU comes complete with Tamiya IR battle system.

Not certain if the speed 400 6v are strong enough. I've a pair in my Tiger with 4:1 gearbox and although fast when i've calculated speed motors only appear to be 12000 installed not the rated 18000.

Some people run 480 motors with fan cooled rx18 so that might be a better option.

Another thought is to run the stock motors/gearbox with a larger voltage battery. I know the RX18 can handle a 8 cell 9.6v battery, that will increase the motor speed.

I can't understand why Heng Long have invested time, money tooling up for this tank. It would be interesting to have a vote on what tank we would like to see and then give the information to Heng Long. I know many people just consider these products as ' Toys' and presumably Heng Long will be able to sell a lot of these for Christmas in their home market, as for the rest of the tank collector world it has left me baffled.

hello

i think it isn t realy a bad choice. it is a god play partner for ouer leoparts beside the t-55.
heng long want to do some new tanks and i think a copy of the t-55 would be a bad choice.
but sure next time we need a modern nator tank :-).
