Not exactly a tank, but.........

Post by Mackem »

I certainly wouldn't like to come up against it!  :o :o :o
This is the South African Rooikat armoured car.

It's big, it's fast, it's well armoured, and it is designed to take out a T55.
If I knew anything about RC cars/trucks I would definitely have a go at building this.

The original version was fitted with the 76mm Cockerill, the export version has the 105mm GT7.
The specs of this thing are as impressive as it looks,

Do any of the RC car/truck builders out there think a scratch build would be possible by
joining 2 4wd chassis together?

Nice find on the trumpeter site.
I've PM'd one of the RC car experts on this forum to see what they think
should be used for the runing gear. I was thinking of joining 2 4WD chassis
but I'll wait and see what the experts say.  ???

Cheers

Ah did you have to show me this?  ::)  Your not gonna believe thsi but in my office ive four wheels that are juuust the right size , now, all in a line!  Tammy running gear would be too big though. Rest would be a pice of pi, sorry cake. Time to dig out the plasticard.

Needs to be faaast though. Time to have a dig throughteh r/c car options
