Mini 4wd “torque-tuned” ( HobbyKing) works great in the original Heng Long gearbox. Quite a bit faster. I dìd use the resistors from a broken smoker. No idea what the Ohms are.

It works, with the only caveat that the -already not very silent- plastic gearbox makes a hellish racket in protest. multiple times louder than the sound from the sound module. Maybe time to go the metal gearbox-way. How much noise does that make?

The turret can now be turned 360 degrees with a slip ring. Marker light, Side marker light, Rear head light and Shtora can be turned on individually.

The turret rotation and stabilization is such a modern touch: well done! The sound of the turret rotation resembles a siren, or am I mistaken? I know too little about tanks after WWII. I wish there were some book explaining all the modern gadgets that come on MBTs.

Thanks for your comment. To be sure, the turret whirling sound sounds like a siren. Since the sample sound is played repeatedly, when the sound is played for a long time, an unexpected intonation appears and the sound becomes like a siren. I plan to replace the turret swivel sound in the future.
