You need patience with one of these!! A Tamiya probably would be mostly built by now... :D

Some updates!

Been waiting for some parts from Stian (maxmekker) as he gets some nice stuff from dklm and 3d printed parts.

Gearbox mount in - they now sit level and strong.

Hull plate in place, no twisting or flexing from the lower hull now. Quite light too.

Henntec stiffen the front, no twisting here either.

Very worthwhile upgrades as it has nothing to stop flex otherwise.

3d printed speaker box custom fits the hull shape and will take a visaton fr7s for my elmod fusion pro.

Yes, very good fit of parts!

Highly recommend Stian and installing these parts for a reliable T55.

Progress!

Turret gubbins next. Servo recoil and elevation.

Not fond of the recoil system, but sloppy. May upgrade later.

Detail parts next.

The new recoil and elevation design looks like a good improvement. The original was a knock off of the Tamiya Pershing recoil that had a bad habit of sticking and a bulky motor driven elevation system that wasn't much better. I ended up replacing my recoil with a servo and the elevation unit will get the same treatment when I get around to it.
