The 550 motor/gearboxes won’t fit though. He said the gearboxes will fit but need to find a shorter motor. When my Challenger 2 arrives I’ll have a put in the gearboxes I have and see what motors will fit. I want to try brushless @) , but that won’t be much use to a lot of people. :lolno:

Hi Paul, Spongebob had already mentioned the tightness of the motor connectors to me so knew about the narrow problem. As the DKLM gearboxes use 550 motors the fixing holes and shaft are different from speed 400/480 motors so not a straight swap either.

So for now it’s proably best to stick with the usual taigen gearboxes.

I do some research over Christmas break see what I can find.

Ian.
