I dismissed previous HL with being cheap and nasty but having seen this and your Abrams I must admit I'm impressed!! :)

I want some new metal cables, hooks and maybe a new set of headlights.

On the AFV site I see a basic set with cables, hooks and headlights, but I can't see if they are the same as the ones which they sell apartly. It's a bit blurry photo, I can't see what what the different items are.

Do the headlights in the basic set come with lenses too? Are there leds included?

Do you know anything about it?

I've also ordered the DKLM metal chassis and running gear this week, looks like a solid base.

Did You go for the 550motors and 4:1 gearboxes as well?

Expensive yes, with it, probably.

I feel the Tamiya one I'm building should have been metal.

A thread in modern tanks for the leopard would be a good idea since there are already so many people who have them.
Maybe another when the chally 2 finally is widely available.

I think the age of the "modern tank" model has really arrived.
In this scale, and the details you guys all put into them, much more kudos is deserved.
Perhaps its the actual combat use of these new machines plus the excellent raw product now available to the hobbyist that seems to add to the entire concept of making a modern MBT a thing of historic worth.

Scalawag

Many thanks for posting the continuous servo rotation mod. Just done one for my 2a6 and it works a treat - so much better than the original gearbox and the turret now rotates at near scale speed.

Nice one Paul.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, and I didn't know about pre painted option :'(

Look forward to a video of the suspension in action.
