John just been looking on RCtankDE yep they have them. Might wait till the motors come then ordered them. I see they also have the wheel sets. But I would like to get them from Dave he's going to put a set by for me when they come in.so I'm getting there bit by bit. Brian...

Wheelspin don't usually hang about, motors should be with you in a few couple of days, its not the best time of year unfortunately, I think postal service is creaking a bit at the moment.

If I was you, if you don't already have one that is, invest in a mini gear puller, to get pinion gear from old motor, it will need to be fitted to your 480.

Yea use to have one when I raced off road RC many years ago where that is God only knows. Will have to see where I might get one!!!

You dont have to have one, I don't, it will make it a lot easier, I used a steel plate with a 3mm slot cut in to it and a 2mm masonry nail to knock it out.

I did mine the hard way, first and last time! I had a brain wave when I was trying to do mine, I'll heat up the pinion gear on gas cooker, expand it, genius! Did it come off? You've guessed it, all I did was stink out the kitchen and melt my fingers, it stayed hot for ages, I can laugh about it now, at the time I had the hump for ages.

I think that's because the shaft is steel and the piñion is brass.they expand at different rates :D. It's an RCmotor puller made by Associated very old but works well it's the one I had. Brian...
