Re: Weld Lines

Post by whitewolf »

I have finally got my hands on 2 x Mirage Hobbies 1/16 Copper Weld lines/beads. I have to say I'm impressed! I've put them up against my Tamiya King Tiger and they will do the trick nicely. They are just the right width and are an absolute blessing for creating the Welds at the bottom the recessed hull channels that run the length of the hull on both sides. They are not 100% perfect in that they could be flatter for German welds, and I might try flattening them a little. But they will be undercoated and top coated with a wash and highlighted which will greatly enhance my R/C Tank.
I have noted a 1/35 version of these in White Metal available for a source in Germany on Ebay.
