Batteries for those Torro Trumpeter T34s & Tiger1s

Post by General Jumbo01 »

If you are enjoying your budget Torro IR battle system tanks but don't like using up the AA cells eight at a time or don't fancy paying high capacity NiMH prices for dedicated 400mah packs then there is a simple alternative.

Rechargeable AA NiHMs are now freely available and l recently bought from a UK seller 8x3000mah AA cells for under £8. They of course fit the Torro cheapies but are a chore to charge in pairs.

However, if you make a small cut in the top side of the battery compartment so that the mini Tamiya plug can pull out past the installed 8 cells you can charge them in situ by connecting your charger to the plug, the necessary connections already existing internally.

My only concern is that the cells are probably not a full 3000mah but for the price they are far better than a far more expensive 400mah one!
