New Wirbelwind toy!
Hey Guys, on a little break from Sherman Fireflies and 75mm's while the electronics are installed. So decided to take a crack at the WCP RC Models and Crafts Wirbelwind turret using a TK40sp Clark board set up with the 20mm quad firing sounds. These sounds and the board came from Kenny at DAK R/C in the U.S.

Dgsselkirk,
Very nice! I've always liked the way these things looked. Feeding one of those things must have been insane! Can't wait to see it all weathered!
Cheers,
Eric.

I take it that the rate of fire is accurate to the prototype. Wow! That thing fires almost as fast as I spend money on tanks and accessories.

yea, you would need trucks of ammo behind you nevermind having to change barrels out!EAO wrote:Dgsselkirk,

Great work on your Wirbelwind.
The 3d printed kit looks good, and I especially like the crew.
I made mine some years back using the original Juckenberg resin kit and it required quiet a few modifications.

very nice! I will say that if you weren't doing any mods to it this kit comes ready to paint and put on so very easy and clean. Of course detailing interior and adding mags is a must. Will get to that later...Afrikakorps wrote:Great work on your Wirbelwind.
