Britpack-the sequel- 3 WW2 British Battlers
I posted some photos earlier in the years, when these three amigos were still some way from completion. Well, here they are again- but fully functional, and wearing suitable WW2 livery.
Only after I took the photos, did I realise that I hadn't pushed the Comet's rear upper hull back into place, after removing the battery. It looks like it has been shunted by some 'crash for cash' type. But, hey ho.
I must say, the hardest part of building these wasn't technical, or financial (though they weren't cheap ): it was simply getting from 95% complete to er...99%.. I say 99%, because there's always the lingering wish to add a little extra augmentation, or enhancement. Then, after a while, the detail niggles send a vocal deputation to complain about being overlooked. Anyway, 99% is good enough for me, and I shall try to stick to it. Ooops...I forgot to attach the hubcaps to the Cromwell!. See what I mean? Merry Christmas all, and do enjoy 100% of something

What a great trio although until your postscript I was wondering what the landmines were on display for
Hubcaps make a lot more sense.
I could happily spend a lot of time with these three delights on display.

I think I am about to upset someone

Awesome collection - very well executed!

What a cracking trio of trouble they are too!
Now what I would like is to hear all three fired up together, roaring them motors - what sweet music they (would) make!

Barry, Jürgen, Shaun and Adam- many, many thanks to you all I guess, as this year draws to a close, I wanted to see what I had achieved in it. Finishing one tank would have been gratifying; but three well, you don't get surprised easily at my age, but I've actually astonished myself. I think a lot of it is to do with the generous support of RCTW members, (such as your good selves) and the general ethos of sharing ideas, solutions, we find waiting here- and even jests, when all seems lost (in a build, or the crazy World out there).
Now, since the Three Musketeers were really four, the one model missing is the Churchill. So......perhaps in the New Year, plagues permitting, I might well give some thought to that desideratum.
As a measure of my Highland generosity, I'd happily give you all a large dram of my special 15-year old Glenlivet if you were here.
Luckily for me, though, you're all a long way off ...

I guess it would be useful to include the build thread for these tanks. Here they are:-
Comet A34: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=27544&hilit=Comet+A34
Cromwell Mk IV: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=22287&hilit=Cromwell+Ludwig+Kit
and the Sherman Firefly 1c:

Time to check out Churchill options...
