OP Telic challenger 2
. The OP Telic chally is finally finished, finishing touches were the recognition panels printed by a friend, crew and scope lenses from Armoured Models, some scratched antennas and afew other bits and bobs. Hopefully when the rain stops I can get a video of it in action!
The tanks been rebuilt from a top that was very nicely painted by Gary Farrow and featured the add on armour from armoured models. A new chassis was obtained and built up with alloy and resin reinforcement, metal suspension, wheels, tracks etc. Uses a PDSGB for propulsion, speaker box with an FR7 and enclosure from WCP model.
On the electrics side it's got a Clark tk60spg2 with 2 axis stabilisation, Clark rotation with deck level sensor. Its battle ready with an emitter in the TOGs sight and has a coaxial machine gun. There's 360 continuous turret rotation with a slip ring fitted. It's got the armored models challenger recoil and elevation kit (which is superb) and an LED flash.
Finishing touches include sand skirts from dklm, crew from armoured models, a very nice Resin printed chain gun from James Steele, rear rubber front and rear fenders and finally some identification panels printed by Pete Wright.

Tom,
Love it! Especially the rubber fenders and skirts. That Gary Farrow is a very talented painter too!
Cheers,
Eric.

Very dainty with the long skirts, Tom. Not even flashing a hint of ankle, there!
It looks and drives great, I think the precision of the servos and PDSGB are a perfect match for a modern tank like this. You're a braver man than me taking it out onto the road, though!

Tom!
A smooth and extremely realistic Runner! Super clean electrics installation as well.
