Well done, Topper! All's working well with it, I assume. :D Generally, one project tends to lead remorselessly to another, so what do you envisage next in the pipeline? :)

Surprisingly few Tiger 1s were painted in that colour.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

The Tiger 1 is my favorite and only tank I have. Only about the first 25 or so initial production Tigers were painted grey and they have many detail differences. Not to criticize your awesome model. You’ve done a great job weathering it. Just throwing that out there for general knowledge. Nothing wrong with fantasy paint schemes. I don’t know why so many rc Tigers are sold in the grey paint with later details.

It must have been fun putting together, painting, and weathering a Torro Tiger I. It’s such a good basis from which to start, and the Feifel air cleaners provide the most noticeable characteristic of an early production tank, making the Dunkelgrau a reasonable choice. Thank you for showing the pictures. I look forward to your next project.

Here’s a bit of fun reading for those interested in grey Tigers.

Yes, Jim. According to our residentTiger1 brainiac, only around 25 Tigers out of 1350 built, ever sported or retained that Dunkelgrau look. But that didn't deter Heng Long from making it their default shade. :D
Personally, I prefer the later Dunkelgelb...especially in dreary Autumn and Winter weather... :D
