Tamiya 1/16 Tiger full option.....winter camo
I bought this tank as a part started kit. I was going to have the fun of building and painting it , and then sell it on. To be honest i have had more people mess me around with it than anything i have ever tried to sell before, so i think i will just keep it.
I can see some upgrades on the horizon , for a start i would like to get a better commander figure in winter wear. The one pictured is the torro one and it doesnt really fit. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know. I will also get the shumo metal gun barrel lifting arm.
Its been great to build and the painting was tremendous fun. I have done a couple if winter tigers before but i think this one has come out the best.

Wow! That is very well done! Would you be willing to explain, please, how you did the whitewash effect?

It takes quite a bit of skill to produce a finish like that. All you need now, are some suitably faded decent decals.

Oooooo! I love it. I’m currently working on a very similar tiger.

Oh, yeah! I do like the winter crew, too. I am a bit hesitant about Aliexpress; however, many here on RCTW seem to do so well using that online store. I will have to look. Tanks a lot!

BTW, the gunner on my Tiger is the same figure, Gunpowder uses as commander.
Because I did not like his grinn, I made him some kind of scarf to cover his face and protect it against the severe Eastern Wind at the Ostfront.
Looks not bad at all.....at least I think so
I also added cables to his monuculars and headset.
