Challenger 2 done

Post by VonRundstedt2.0 »

Finished my Challenger 2. Wanted to try and depict a U.K. based one. Subtle weathering, 1 or 2 extras added, and the Haya Chieftain crew added and repainted. It also has the HL ultimate ii gearboxes driving standard plastic sprockets/wheels (road wheels have foam/rubber tyres added found sound deadening, the tracks are plastic with home made foam/rubber pads, all to keep the weight down and speed up.

Very nice,VR2!. I have a Chally 2 gathering dust, like so many lower priority models. However, having seen yours- with it's credible detailing, I'm thinking that mine would look good in Berlin Brigade livery- but without the trailer. If I could find the correct colours, I'd certainly move it up the 'to do ' list.

VR2.0,

Very nice Chally! The detail is very nice! Well done!

43rdRR,

I've never seen the "Berlin Brigade" paint scheme before. That is unusual, but very, very cool! :O

Cheers,
Eric.

Nice job, VonRundstedt2.0! Even with that nice clean look (which seems to me appropriate in some cases, especially for modern tanks receiving good care), that tank is realistic. To me, it's also interesting to see that some plastic parts can be used if the tank isn't planned for rough running. I may tend toward metal hulls, running gear, and tracks more than needed for my carpet warriors.

Now that Berlin Brigade scheme is funky! Go for it, 43Recce! What a unique model that would make! It's camouflage for when the circus is in town. Yowza! Yowza! Yowza!

That looks pretty good, the Berlin scheme is known as the Urban camo these days, I'm currently awaiting better weather before carrying on with the MCDCS (Multi Coloured Digital Camouflage Scheme) pattern
