Mr. Maxmekker--What a great tutorial! It almost gives me the confidence to try my hand at something similar.

What are the points to keep in mind when masking off the browns and greens to create the yellow....and....having never used Humbrol Masko in the past, it looks as though you dabbed it on with a small sponge and then peeled it off when ready to expose the green base. Is that the idea?

Thanks for a super primer.

Looking great! Can't wait to see what you end up doing to the lower hull. Always a pleasure seeing the process it takes to turn out the end result. Always top notch work!

I use maskol alot for making chips these days, and just as you say I use sponge and dab on the product in small manners, and paint over, and rub off after , Like I show in this video

phpBB [video]

as for the stripes I did the brown/rust ones first, and the I remasked the thinner outer lines ( its dunkle gelb 'shine' and creme weiss mixed)

Clearly that rust effects pack provides a great look.
Now I know you airbrush it on, how does it spray ?
Do you thin it or run it straight into the cup out of the bottle ?
