Canadian 2nd Armoured Brigade Sherman VC Firefly
So just to take a little break from KV's decided to finish off my latest Firefly VC. This is the last of the 4 Shermans I did through the summer/fall. Here are the details of the products used to complete:
~HL lower hull stretched to make it a proper A4
~3D printed open spoke bogies with 3D printed rubber wheels
~ Mato metal sprockets, T49 metal tracks with grousers
~Mato metal adjustable idlers
~upgrade steel gearboxes
~DGS Military Hobby Firefly kit with the newer low bustle turret
~DGS Military Hobby Commonwealth Stowage Kit plus some extras like, .30 Cal, extra baggage, etc...
~The heart of the system is a Clark TK80 Firefly board exclusive to DGS Military Hobby. (yes, I do sell these boards to experienced builders ) We got the sounds from the M4A4 Firefly located at Heintz Barracks, Bastogne in Belgium and this tank features one of the few Chrysler multibank engines left in the world! I love that we got the track squeaks as it was moving and incorporated those too!
~sbus receiver
~Upgrade custom speaker
~ Metal TARR smoker
~Internal components 3D printed bridge, wiring, speaker mount, smoke tubing, all by Jarlath Creations. THANKS BIG MIKE!
~ The cleaning rods although the come with the resin kit I decided to scratch build for fun.
~ This has an independent IR emitter and is set up for Tamiya apple battle unit.
~ and finally custom paint job and weathering using the decals I sell as well as Forgebear.
Any questions at all let me know!
Here is a little video of the first real run test. Moves and looks quite nice me thinks!

I always appreciate a neat interior, 'heart' and 'nervous system', Dean, and yours is amongst the best I've seen

It is actually pretty easy to do the ammo crates. Here is a link from my website of the how to for my stowage package. About 3/4 down you will find the info you seek....

I can take no credit for the interior workings other than I told Jarlath "please fix my spaghetti" LOL!43rdRecceReg wrote:I always appreciate a neat interior, 'heart' and 'nervous system', Dean, and yours is amongst the best I've seen

A couple of close ups of the .30 Cal after I reversed it on the mount. Had it backwards first! the gun is from my U.S. stowage kit and the mount is from shapeways. Can't remember where I got the resin ammo belt... added my Commonwealth summer Tank Commander for fun...
