1942 Panzer IV 'F' Into The Blue
Some photos and a short Countertop Test Video of my Combination Build Panzer IV 'F' The photos speak for themselves ( as always, Click to Enlarge ) and the Video is a YouTube link.
Enjoy! There will be an Outdoor Run Video as soon as the current spate of bad weather passes.

That's all come together very nicely painless, you've done an excellent job with it look forward to seeing it rumbling around outside
Cheers, Lee.

Its a good way to finish a build , video of tank on a test run . Are you going to apply a dusty North African wash?

Lots of little subtle details; the hallmark of a Painless model The embossed text on the 'Kraftstoff' drum (Benzin or literally 'Strong-Stuff'), is just one of many fine examples
"Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please"- Mark Twain.

How did you make that rack for the jerry cans on the turret?

Nice tank and crew! Knobb Creek is looking pretty good as well.

Lee!
Good afternoon! By the time work was over today, we had 3 + feet of powder with drifts running around five feet high. It will be a while before North Africa dries out. ;o) Glad you enjoyed the Build, sir!

Ronnie!
Thank you for looking in. It is difficult to see in that yellow lamp light in those photos but if you look at the last posts in the Build thread, you can see a before and after shot with the subtle dust effect that I added to 'Freda'. Running outside will add the rest of the running gear weathering. ;o)

DesertRat,
I break it out a little more in the Build thread but basically....I sat the Jerry cans side by side then measured the lengths of wood needed. Then I added the angle pieces of styrene up front to make a solid brace to strap the cans down against. Drilling some nail holes and pin washing them along with the wash to make the wood look aged finished the rack up. The clamps were glued in place on the leather strapping after having bent them into shape with a pair of small needle nose pliers. The material used there was a paper clip.
