Sherman firefly Hybrid finished!

Post by dgsselkirk »

Firefly #1 done! This is a hybrid Firefly with full metal Mato bottom and combination plastic Mato M4A1 front combined with HengLong M4A3 back end. Runs on a TK60S sbus with my custom firefly sounds. Has most of the bells and whistles you can do. Stowage is one of my kits except for the wine bottles. Those are scratch built. Internals done by Big Mike from the Club. Meant to represent Canadian 5th Armoured late spring 45. This one will be headed to market shortly...

Super nice Dean!

The conversion is fantastic and you've mastered the art of stowage, really dresses out a beautiful build. 8)

I suspect the TC is going to need a cup refill after the recoil from the shot!! :D

A real looker, Dean  It's a good thing you chose the Hybrid Firefly as your subject, because sawing that Mato metal lower into three, to get the M4A4 length, would be a real nightmare. 8O
Very tastefully done throughout... and that barrel flash looks fearsome too :D

I use a 2 ohm resister to slow the turret down. It also helps protect the Clark board... :-)
