I like the additional armor plate. That looks very cool.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

:) very interesting, and well done to the old man  That said, I've never seen a picture of a King Tiger with extra armour, beyond the use of spare track links for that purpose. The KT was already at the limit of the weight it's transmission could handle (some would say above the limit), without adding any extra weight. 600lbs of Zimmerit was bad enough (and useless anyway).
In fact, the article below suggests that add-on armour was actually prohibited. :|
Even though I've not seen pics of a KT adorned with extra plate armour/schurzen, that's not to say that others may have seen one. :D One of the fun aspects of the forum is learning from others.

Interesting article about add on armor. Really like the look of that Tiger 2. Nice execution and well done with the "panzer platten". Also, like the Henschel primer on the barrel. If one of these beasts did exist, imagine how hard it would be to knock out! Kudos to your Dad!
Cheers, EAO.

I like that is done there with the side turret armor plates. Adds a nice unique touch. Thank you for sharing.
