Re: SU 122
Perfect, thanks. Would just need to figure out a way to remove the cover if the wheel needed removing. Beginning to wonder if it'd be easier/cheaper to buy the Trumpeter kit!

Your superb model, and the well-matched landscape, could do with being posted in greater detail. As long as photos don't exceed 351Kb, they can be uploaded here (ungefähr; 1920 x 1080 Max pixels...oder weniger)
That way, we can all see them better

The wheels if you look at this and my crusader are quite similar so you will be able to get both the kit and metal road wheels from LudwigRobW wrote:Perfect, thanks. If you don’t want metal hull and wheels then yeah cheaper to convert the trumpeter su-85
If you can get hold of one

Re: SU 122
I'm using a Trumpeter T-34/76 upper on a Taigen lower. Doesn't take much to mate them together. The Trumpeter lower is very flexible as well as the upper, but I used styrene to reinforce the upper on the inside so that it doesn't flex as much. The SU-100 kit that Trumpeter sells is a little harder to adapt to the Taigen lower since the SU-100 has a pointed beak if you do it right.
