At Militracks, a Tiger track link was sold less 2 hours after the market opening. The price was 550€ !!!

The same day, I was ready to buy a track link of Famo, but the reason was stronger... :D
Sorry for my spelling mistakes, I try to do better every day...

That right there is a bigger link(no pun intended) to this history we enjoy so much than anything else.
An actual Panther track link, that grabbed the earth in who knows what area of the conflict.
As along time firearm & related items collector of Russian arms 1895 through 1992, I too had the feeling of being in touch with real men, with untold yet real loss of life associated with the object of war I could hold in my hands.
Sometimes I would just sit, quiet, and look.............wondering

Hmmm

An interesting conversation starter for sure. So, how much does it weigh? Can we not have a banana for scale?

I regret not purchasing a T49 Sherman track link many years ago for I think £40 (No idea if it was a good price or not), funny enough, I wasn't interested in Sherman's back then lol.

:D If you could get the track pin too, Adam, this could easily be made into the World's most original (and expensive- probably) door knocker! A unique souvenir, nonetheless. :D
I have a fragment of a Spitfire that crashed at Calais; a genuine M1943 pattern German Steel helmet; part of a WW1 gas shell; and the handle of a German entrenching tool I picked up at Beaumont Hamel, on the Somme.
All have slightly eerie historical connections. 8O :D

Thanks guys :)

I have been looking for a track pin lol

I have several other bits, two different Sherman links, an Sdkfz 251 wheel etc but this was always on my wish list, along with a Tiger link but they are silly money.

I will be getting a Panzer IV link next week :D

Always liked collecting bits of history, great conversation starters!

It weights 22kg I think?!

Length is 660mm from memory.

It came from Normandy, ground dug in 2007 with two other links rusted to this one by a track pin or two. I have given one to my dad, I’ve kept this one and now I have one to sell.
