First FPV ground mission with a halftrack and a runcam 2

Post by modler »

Well I finally did it, I drove my Halftrack around the condo First Person View using a wifi camera and my iphone 6s. I guess it is no big deal to most here but it is a first for me and you have to start somewhere lol.

I think it’s a nice video and model. I often drive my Tiger around the house for fun and to sharpen my driving skills. Our cats find it............interesting.

That's your home, and you don't have room for big tanks

Very enterprising  If I may, I'd recommend checking out some of the anti-vibration mountings, or gimbals, they have on Ebay, and elsewhere. Some only cost a few dollars. :)
They can make an interesting video into a really eye-catching one. Even a layer of soft foam, might help with your next vid. An excellent entry into FVP though!

Like you, I have the iPhone 6s, and it's an amazingly versatile piece of kit  if Apple reduced the price of the 8 and 10 versions drastically, it would be worth saving up for one, or the other :|
Just another pipe-dream, for now...

We don't like carpet. We used to have white carpet but took it out. Now it is perfect for radio control model operation. :)

I am going to try a Tank model today so so I can pan the camera left and right next time. I will post it here sometime today.

I have wanted to do some kind of FPV mission for some time. Ultimately my goal is to have an aircraft with FPV but in winter time that is too much effort lol so ground FPV is the order of the day.

Oh and thanks everyone for you kind replies on my efforts with ground FPV.
