Tank commander with a new paint job

Post by Evlwevl »

I’ve been neglecting to use this figured just because of the factory paint job and the lack of detail. I haven’t found a reasonably priced replacement yet so I decided to take a little bit of acrylic paint to this one. I’m sure he’s not accurate but it looks a lot better in my opinion and now he can sit as the tiger commander And not look silly up there

I don't believe it, how could you? That figure was professionally painted :O I don't know, these amateurs, thinking they can do better than the professionals :/

That's about the best painted one of those I've seen. I would have kept it just for those eyes, or just left the face as it was, it demanded to be left :haha: :haha:

Ha ha, I should have left him alone because those eyes would have been more accurate during today’s battle with my son. The Tiger’s cannon kept jamming as my Sherman driven my son was hitting the targets over and over again. Gotta figure out what’s going on

Nice job with the figure. I've had good luck painting other resin tank figures, but the fact is these plastic heng long or taigen figures give me fits
Tanks alot....

Good Morning,
Your paint job looks splendid! These figures that come with the tanks can be made to look acceptable with some deal of work involved. Yours has turned out great.

Painless

I need to repaint my Taigen German commander that came with my JS-2 ;) It won't be the first HL figure I've chang3d the nationality of. You start with a file to remove badges and reprofile the cap etc, then fill any holes you've created, then paint! You'd have thought they would produce a few more variations?? Cheap though!
