Ardennes king tiger

Post by tomhugill »

The postman came today, big thanks to Gary Farrow for all the work he's done on my KT.
She started life as a torro BB almost all metal KT. She's been heavily upgraded with a DKLM gearbox, tk60, rctankelectronics recoil, servo elevation and vampire battle unit.

Detail wise she's had
High line hull mg34
Schumo tow cables
Schumo tow cable holders
Schumo mg 34 mount
Schumo mg 34
Fender mounts
Mk modellbau 3m antenna
Mk modellbau star antenna
Shapeways fire extinguisher
Shapeways fuel breathers
Shapeways tool clamps

She's had the hull zimmerite removed, weld beads, flame cut ends, rolled texture and some fenders removed

She will be getting a full crew at some point too.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

This is a fantastic result Tom. And you pulled it off in no time. Awesome Camo. You brought it to live with your weathering. Really artistic streaking effects. And I have to say, its the details. The wheels, and I have to learn from you, are just great. Although there is harsh contrast, it just works. And I see the DKLM gearbox. Effortless driving because of that power in it.

Jeez Mr Hugill, can it get any better ??!!
Love the fine detail such as the spare track ice cleat marks on the turret paint around the hangers, and the discoloured mesh over the vent where the paint has been subject to walk over.
Dont often see a 'Bulge' King Tiger in the period paint, a joy to behold.
