Good afternoon,
I might be wrong but I thought that the regular Wehrmacht tank crews ( later in the war ) had to wear SS type uniforms and carry the skull and bones on their collars. Those poor fellows may be standard German Army types not the 'evil' SS

Yep black doesn't mean ss the totenkopf worn by the ss and wehmacht were different shapes too and the ss wore runes on the collar not the totenkopf

There is a mixture of heer and ss in the pic though
And heer and ss panzer wraps had a slightly different cut too

Thanks for your kind words ,I was a bit worried I would get burned at the stake as a heretic ,I also did 2 other ones with dinosaurs and a woolly mammoth ,I will get around to making a base for them

Very nice work on the paint and weathering on both tanks. Like the winter whitewash look on the tiger and the desert Panzer iv looks very nice
