Firefly (sort of)

Just about finished with this now. I know its not accurate but I have gone for looks over accuracy so its a firefly (sort of) overall I am very pleased with the way its turned out. It only has Heng Long dual sound electronics but I have added a MAKO board from RC tank electronics. With the Mako installed it does not have the horrible heng long track recoil when the main gun is fired. Also has servo recoil and flash installed. I have added a better speaker so its nice and loud too !!
Love to hear your comments (good and bad) guys

It looks good and you've certainly captured the look of the Firefly.

Sure looks right enough mate. Purists might stutter a bit, but I reckon you’ve done a great job capturing the look of the big gun Sherman.

Thanks gentleman. I have to say that the Mako board which cost about £30 is a fantastic addittion to a base tank like this one. It’s not got all the bells and whistles of something like ibu or Clarke board but for £30 this tank has recoil, no horrible track recoil and a tamiya compatable battle system.

How'd you hook up the recoil servo to the HL board?

The recoil servo attaches to the mako board.
