Metal Excavator - Magom HRC MG1.4

Post by Tankbear »

Recently treated myself to this RC model. It comes in various versions of completion but I picked the full metal unit and hydraulic system for it which left me with adding electronics, radio, final assambly and painting.

So here's some pictures

It's been slow progress but finally got a start on the painting.

I saw the eagle dozer video and looks ace. Magomhrc are also doing a tracked bucket dozer thing according to they Facebook page but details are slim. :'(

Probably after a tipper truck next. Had a little play wth the Hercules 8x8 tipper which Forgebear is selling and that is very nice, although I might change the cab to a man or daf.

Yeah been sorting the electrics recently so no real updates. I've assembled the boom arm and bits and gave a few more coats of orange paint. At weekend wet & dry paint and started clear coat but ran out of clear coat. Then got more but weather meant I couldn't carry on.

So finish clear coat, attach boom to main structure and plumb up hydraulic pipes then it should be ready for maiden voyage.
