These trucks are great and cheap and plentiful( i still have 20 in my attic lol)
If you are a modeller i would alwasy suggest you try and buy and then build your own, but i have to say Cat & I started out buying, modifying and selling these trucks to start with almost 3 years ago.
We then spent alot of time making 3D printed parts for these trucks. You can end up spending a fortune on them though! I have several trucks which now owe me more than £200 with all electrics and bits and pieces i bought in or made for them! You can then end up with a robust superb small scale truck.
Buying 2nd hand but new modified or built trucks can give you a cool truck, but also takes away from the enjoyment of building it yourself.

I tend to design alot of my vehicles now around trying to use as many parts as i can to keep costs low for the buyer, so the gears and axles and chassis rails are really useful, i just tend to throw the rest of the stuff in the box labelled 'maybe one day another rat rod' hahaha

a 3d printer or knowing someone with a 3d printer will mean you can really unlock the potential of these trucks ;)

go forward and enjoy

@Painlesswolf, that truck looks very cool with the correct rims on it

Did you only paint the wood, or replace it as I saw in a thread here?
Jee!
I cut out the slats and replaced them and the bed\tailgate with wood. ( may have been my Build Thread for this truck that you saw...it is an easy way to add great detail to these trucks ;0) Now, on with NAB's thread!

Ah yes, that has to be your truck I have seen, very impressive.

In the mean time I found some cabs which you can easily download and print (if you have a printer of course)

Only didnt find the rims and tyres yet.

Or maybe you could cut the roof off and do a few extra mods to do this version that I'm currently working on myself, there's soooo many options  viewtopic.php?f=209&t=31584&hilit=Lrdg+truck

Cheers, Lee.

I remember whe they first came out I ended up having 9ver 100 different wpl/jjrc/henglong/mz/eachine trucks in my spare room and spent months detailing and upgrading them and then selling them on.
