RC Airboat

Ok so a long time ago, my father & I were members of a RC plane club in Reading (UK)
One of the members down there was prolific in designing and building RC planes and when the club field flooded it became an RC airboat and float plane field.
His name was Mark and he designed an airboat and sold members the plans to build your own
They would use a nitro engine and we were advised i think .19 upto .28 size engine, although the only thing we had left over was a .38mds from an RC plane which had landed badly........
Unfortunately it was rather heavy and powerful and it didnt turn very well, but recently i got it out the garage and thought, lets make this electric
So a few weekends ago my son & I removed the nitro and waited on a motor to arrive.
The motor has already found itself into a trainer rc plane conversion, but i am going to make a mount and get another so we can get this airboat flying again.
Simple mockup and prop size seems to fit well
More pictures to follow, but this could be very good fun
Going to fit a 10x6 prop, the black one in picture is 10x8 i believe.
Not going to go crazy with an engine design on this, so a generic chunky bit of plastic as want to keep the weight down.
Will try 2s lipo and go upto 3s, although the esc can go 6s if needs be.
From the original model my father and I have fitted larger rudders to help steering, but we might thin them down after testing has been conducted
Throttle servo to be removed
Plenty space under the hatch for new electrics and lipo battery for power.
Might take down the beach where we have large expanses of shallow surf when tide is coming in, this thing only needs an inch of water
