That looks just great, and it's no surprise that you have much more top speed now. When you wire 3 Motors together in series, and say you're using 12 volts, then each motor is really only getting 4 volts, but when you wire them in parallel you deliver the full 12 volts to each motor, they just draw more amperage.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Series worked pretty good on 2 motors when you lost a prop. Just not so good on 3!

Wow, This thing really fly. You should think about installing a movable camera on the bridge.

Was out today at the lake with some friends and took the PT boat along for a run. Yesterday and this morning I threw together a piece of eye candy to take to the lake.

Here is is sitting on the top of the bench. You can't see it, but there is a pivoting ramp to run between the dock and the shore. I made it to act as an anchor point as the whole dock is floating.

Here it is in the water and in use.

As it has hidden flotation devices, I think we now need to see it upside down, and I don't mean a rotated picture ;)

Thanks, guys. For a quick knock out, I think it really came out pretty good. Still have to stain and seal it, then add some details.

Here ya go Mick. Upside down!

Here's a shot showing how it's assembled.

The inner frame is 1/2 PVC pipe covered with pipe insulating foam. The dock planks were glued down to a thin piece of plywood. I let a few planks off until I mounted them to the pipe pieces. #6 counter sunk screws fit great in the openings. After the decks were screwed down, I glued in the planks covering the screw heads.

I took a tee fitting and reamed it a bit until it fit all the way over the pipe. I did this to make a hinge for the ramp so that it could be adjusted depending on the conditions where I was running the boat.
