Spitfire crash after aborted landing approach

Not an ideal landing approach but not bad either. Sometimes it's best to take the opportunity and not abort, go around, and aim for perfection. This is why...

Bad luck. Fixable though I suspect.

A cracking model- in more than one sense :| Given the height it nosedived from, it's a real surprise that the fuselage cracked in half where it did. :problem: I would have expected nothing more than prop.,and engine cowling, damage. :|

There are some truly spectacular crashes out there on Youtube. I think, back in 2014, the largest RC 'plane to crash was the B29 Superfortress, weighing some 300lbs, and with a wingspan of almost 30ft. 8O

The owner contacted me yesterday and shared that it was fixed within a week of that incident. Hoping to see it fly next Spring !
