Freewing T45 Hawk

Post by wibblywobbly »

My friend Simon of Greens Models just sent me this video of his latest model in action (loves his planes and helicopters, as well as trucks). If he hadn't told me this was a model I would have thought it was a real one.

Ahh , the blurb says the electric motor is designed to sound like a jet engine.
Also says a 5000mah battery only gives you 3 to 4 minutes flight time , the motor must really chew through the juice.

Aussie if you are interested in "Jet" engined R/C Aircraft The "Hobby King " on line store is as good a place to start as any, >:< >:<
Basically all they are is a Brushless Motor coupled to a Ducted Fan,
An ECU controls the output but all it really does is throw as much electrical power at the electric motor as it can take without melting
And that is why the battery does not last very long.
They are great fun and I do believe that is what we are all into R/C for. :haha: :haha:
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Mr Wibbly thank you for sharing this It's incredibly realistic even sounds the part... Even if it has a short run time it's worth every second that it's airborne
Tanks alot....
