Can’t help myself had to mod my Thunderbolt, so gone for a not so common scheme
from the South East Asian Conflict (SEAC) the British gad few squadrons with firstly
Hurricanes then Thunderbolts. Bonus the roundals where small which means I had
some in my spares box.

First strip off the decals, I have painted over these in the past, end up with a better
result taking them off.

Will be a belly lander for most of her life, decided to add the bomb/droptank hard points,
these will not only be for looks also landing points.

Some paint, I use life colour water based need a couple of coats to get good coverage.

A finally finish her off with some weathering, I use artist charcoals, wash off with water
if you stuff up and start again.

Trick with weathering is less is best I believe.

Bit of detail, have done a few of mine with open cockpits, warbirds the ultimate drop top!

Used a decal supposed to be on a a 1/32nd scale RAAF Boomarang, thought it looked appropriate.

The red in the RAAF and the RAF and Fleet air arm roundels was removed when the aircraft bearing those markings were being shot at by aircraft in the service of the United States Navy who confused the red circle surrounding the White and Blue for the all red roundel of aircraft in service with the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy.
The heat of combat gives very little time for making accurate assessments of immediate hazard.
