Well folks, I thought I was done for a while with new projects, thought now was a good time to tidy up a few others, do a bit of tank-housecleaning, perhaps improve a few things on others.......................
:problem: NOPE

Mr Caster had this on the go a while back, and in my own true M.O. I nagged him to let me at it until he said yes :haha:
So just to make the annoying & very petulant child shut up, he sent it.
Now Mr caster was very concerned with ensuring the box was right, the thing was packed safe, and nothing could possibly go wrong..........
Box was sturdy, plenty of styrofoam packing and tape, but those are not rated for what it was subjected to :O
I can only assume that the airfreight company pushed it out of the hold before landing the plane rather than after !
In a word from my old country "Munted".

I will complete the disassembly process begun by the freight forwarders & let you all know once Im on with the forward movement on this.
A trumpeter it will never be, but Im stoked to get a hold of it & perhaps finish the vision that Mr Caster had.

Upper hull as it came out of the box.
They only piece I have taken off is the saw.
One of the drive sprocket clusters was also busted off the side of the hull.
T34 chassis are available and cheap here, plus I had one already for some eventual project which turned out to be this one !

This is what its going to be................

"Immediately apparent are the varied markings on the hull side. In addition to the tactical numbers, the slogan “20 Years of Soviet Uzbekistan” is barely discernible, a reference to Uzbekistan’s integration into the Soviet Union in 1924 and to its citizens, whose sacrifice and hard work had paid for this and other tanks that bore the slogan.

Ivan Antonovich Vovchenko, Commanding General of the Soviet 3rd Guards Tank Corps, recalled the arrival of the Uzbek-funded tanks in his memoirs:

“In the forests of Smolensk our unit received new tanks. On the turret, each of them had the inscription “20 Years of Uzbekistan” and the emblem of the Uzbek SSR. I went to the place where the tankers took the new vehicle, and saw Major Ayrametova, the commander of the Health Battalion. The Major touched the letters and coat of arms and I understood his excitement as this big tank column was built with money collected by the workers of Uzbekistan. News of the arrival of the machines quickly spread through the division, and soon two Uzbek tank drivers came running . . "

Herman!
Following along of course. ;0) As for the condition of your package upon arrival, I sometimes wonder if Shipping Agents are taking small revenge upon people who can still afford to have fun things shipped to them.

Very disappointed it didn’t arrive in one piece
I am sure in your talented hands it will rise from the ashes.
Looking forward to seeing it transform

Nice! SU-100 was my dad's favorite self-propelled gun. He built two 1:10 models from scratch in the late 80s and early 90s.

It sure looked like it when I saw it at home.
One end was crushed.
A bit like squeezing a tube of toothpaste with the cap still on .
