Mato gearbox into Taigen lower

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Mato gearbox into Taigen lower

Post by Ludwig von wigbearer »

I fancied a set of these gearboxes, so if anyone is interested they do fit the Taigen lower hull, none of the
mounting holes line up so new holes have to be made on the Taigen mounting plate.

They look very smart, Ludo. I can already feel my hand heading towards my wallet. :haha:
Do they perform satisfactorily?

I see you have the late wheels fitted. Does that mean you'll be removing, that is to say replacing all the early version features?

Good morning Herman, yes the air filters will be coming off, might be a what if build or hybrid type, it
will be getting a TK24 with Panther sounds, That was destined for my King Tiger but as that has the
DKLM gearbox I will be getting a TK80 for that instead.
