TORRO KINGTIGER BB to RECOIL

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Post by Ludwig von wigbearer »

Hi All, Having a go at converting from bb to recoil, the progress so far
cut through the mantlet to remove the pain in the arse barrel retaining clip, I have then glued the mantlet
back together.

Looks like some excellent engineering skills on display. Should be some fantastic results. Which recoil unit are you going to use?

welcome to the club! 8)

i recently finished mine, but in my case I used almost all the material from leftovers! a bit like McGyver... an old flashlight body, two plastic ballpoint pens, two paperclips and two servos (those aren't leftovers) :haha:

but hey, it works!

I follow you to see how you end up doing it

best regards

Are you following the design lines of the new Heng Long alloy servo recoil unit? if so, it's quite a neat and compact type of recoil. Following with interest anyway, Ludo. :D

Thank you all for your comments, I loosely based it on the unit by DR PHIBES, it will be servo recoil and
elevation when completed
