Found the version I will build out of Mr Rams outstanding example in this lot of pics.
The quest for something different continues, and THIS will be different.

Re: An-Bri-RC SU-85
Meant to post this last night, but got sidetracked. I got the mantlet weather shield puttied, sanded, puttied again, sanded again and primed and mounted with functional brass hinges. It's free to move with the mantlet now, and definitely better than using the kit part (or nothing at all):
As you might have guessed, Herman's the proud new owner of this model. He got in before I even made it to the sale forum! I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with it.
Grabbed a few more photos before I disassembled it for postage.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, given the limitations of the starting materials and the guidelines I set for myself. This was meant to get me back into the swing of things, so let's see if I can keep the momentum up!

Lucky Mr Bix! If we all got together we'd be able to take on the reinactment of the defence of Berlin? Anyone have the scenery?? Another great model from our forum.

Very lucky............was actually the Wife that heard me exclaim that ,ahem ,it was an interesting thing that I would like(not like that-but you get the idea)so she said get it, you might die next week !!
So, cant argue with that logic.

Actually, that's really dangerous logic. She may be thinking about serving a special dinner next week.

good point !
I had to make a promise not to buy any more tanks until I have worked thru the pile of projects I have now.
Of course I agreed with all sincerity
That concept will take me to 2025 at my usual rate of progress!

I agree with the General.
And as has been said before:
Life without model tanks is possible, but pointless.

Re: An-Bri-RC SU-85
Arrived today
Well happy with it and how svelte & racy it looks beside the JS2 !
I will gather parts & plan ahead, so it wont be started quickly.
Just so happy to have a fine example of a rare 'Brinker conversion kit.

Just yesterday (05-16-2021) I tried my An-Bri link. It was dead. Did the business go under?
