Next up build number 2, the su76i.

So I started by completely ignoring the instructions and going at it the same way I did my su85.

I then realised that I had gotten a little chopping happy and cut away a section the gun needed to be mounted on.

So I improvised

This is on my list to build. Is it one of the kits or are you doing a custom build?

It was a kit from forgebear. He’s out of stock at the moment but vandra has started making them again so I think you can get them there

How did you find the casemate fit as mine's a bit warped. The gun barrel went a bit odd too, looks like it's blistered somehow: possibly since I got it as it's been stood a while....

The fit wasn’t great the whole thing seemed to be off but I improvised and managed to get if looking half decent. It’s only now when you look at the bottom of the gun mantlet you see how bad the fit it. The gun barrel on the other hand has a large dent in the resin, but it wasn’t going to be used anyway.

Yes I have seen these. The version I am creating is the top one, however the bottom shouldn’t be to difficult to achieve

Bottom one kinda looks like it was a post war "fix" IE: reconstruction, but I could be wrong. Some of these museum tanks are not necessarily correct due to after war modifications and/or changes.
