Takom Renault FT

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Little progress. I tested the rotation of the turret with a servo.

Well done, Kaczor! Is your father a machinist? The gearing makes for excellent speed reduction and must give that little Renault remarkable power.

Yes he is :) And yes, torque and power is improved now but mostly we wanted a more realistic speed. Tamiya 70097 twin gearbox is great for such projects. Unfortunately 203:1 ratio configuration would not fit and additional reduction was needed.

Machine gun is a mix of Aber kit and brass tubes soldered together. 1 mm fiber optic was used. Test:

After painting and little wash. Still some details need to be painted. Polish camo from 1939. When Germans invade, Polish Army had about 100 pieces. They were then very outdated and had little impact on the fate of the campaign.

Aw, Kaczor, maybe that little Renault was no threat to the Germans, but it just blows me away! What a great job you have done!
