Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf. B - work horse of German infantry

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

More test printings took place; this time the hull and engine hood. They‘re only brief cleaned with small parts of remaining strutting visible.

I've made a check of wear of the resin sprocket because I'd some concerns regarding durability of resin:

The load was 0.7kg; the endurance test was 1 hour at high speed with 50 times on/off.

I'm amazed about the result!
Nearly no visible wear at the sprocket, rather more finish of the metal tracks sticks at the sprocket.

After hours and hours of printing from my friend Lukas, all necessary parts for the prototype are produced; it’s a lot :O

There will be an upgrade for spring loaded bogies and wear resistant drive sprockets:

Very, very impressive work! It's great to see new items being created through 3D printing. I wish l were 16 again with so much to learn and enjoy.

I'm 54 ... it's never to late to start new stuff (as I did yet with resin designs)!
